my gxp is stock and i wasted this mustang the other night, he had straight pipes and some work done under the hood, i got him not once but he wanted seconds and i took him again, by the time i had 6 car lengths on him and decided to slow down he was still tryin to catch up

i dunno about this, i put 2 or so car lengths on a 5.0 with a 3.4 setup

and if i get spanked out on the street, i bring the race car out, and if that gets spanked, well i'll shake your hand
 


Are we BS'in or talking about the real stuff? @The OP.. 96-97 had 4.6L v8s rated at a whoping 215hp and 285ft/lbs and rumors say the 98s were up to 225. Even the 94-95 5.0s were rated the same 215. Should have found out what type "work under the hood" he had because there should have been more than 6 lengths on him with your 303 rated hp. Granted there is about a 400 pound weight difference but that still does not account for the huge power difference.... But anyway, great kill! :th_thumbsup-wink:
 
As stated the 96's were not 5.0's. They were also VERY slow. They didn't start getting some balls back to them until 99.

I've beaten plenty of SN95 Stang's in my slow ass Stealth. I have no doubt a GXP could take one.

And the weight difference isn't even that much. The coupes were over 3300 lbs.
 
my bad on the year of the car, i forget that they did the body change before 96, and as far as under the hood work, sounded pretty lopy might have had a cam, and as i said definitely had straight pipes, i recognize that sound anywhere
 
Yea, they sound pretty mean. On my 95 all I had done was I took the stock resonators and mufflers off and put in a pair of Flowmaster 40 series. I bout crapped myself when it got done because it sounded so much better. The car was not really all that quick but it was a black/tan combo vert with 96-97 polished Cobra wheels and it sounded really good so it got lots of attention.

The BS flag was more for the 96 5.0, although I wasn't going to be upset if the OP got into with me about my slow azz rustang lol. Just messing around with the new guy, till you guys came and pissed in my porridge:) I know how pathetic the 2valve 4.6s are without F/I. Been there, done that. Even with cams and bolt ons, I wouldn't doubt the OP's story. Especially with the NPI 4.6, good kill OP. I'm one of the resident mustang owners here, and I'm a prick. Welcome.

I bet my dads 5.0. Though a 93, I had a little advantage. Bad power steering pump, and oil sending unit needs redone. Lol. But it put up a fight.
