Hood wont close with intercooler

When i put the intercooler on it made the supercharger sit too high and it hits my hood, Its about and 1.5 inches too much, and i have an sd hood
 


put some spacers inbetween the hood and where the hood bolts on, it will give you a bit more clearance, might be enough after you do the cradle spacers
 


I ended up putting a stock hood on. then I cut a hole and put a scoop on.

There are intercoolers on lots of cars. Before you bye, look up your car/hood. Chances are some one has installed on and has some pictures. If cannt find info.

1). Remove hood insulation (been asked if it was really nexessary)
2) put plummers putty on vacuum nipple on top of supercharger.
3) gently lower and or shut the hood.
4) putty will show how much clearance you really have.

As far as a joke....I drive mine daily for the last 6 years.
 


Okay...then just chop up the SD....make it completely useless......it will crack and break...then you will be looking for a stock hood in the end anyway. Its only money......what the hell!!
