ok so there is this kid that frequients my store, he drives a Del Sol!, and is always talking about how he killed this car and that car. Well today after I helped him design an intake for this P.O.S. he started bumping his gums again. I told him Im off the clock in five I'll meet you @ *********.
I get out there and we do a rolling start from 40 side by side. @ the end of the run I had about 150 yards on him, I pulled in the drive and asked him if he was up for a dig run, he said sure.
we pull back into the street and he never stops just floors it:th_scratchhead:. by the time I get in the street he already a good 10 lengths on me and gaining.
so I floor it:p about half length of the first run I pass him and put another 10 on top of that.
Morale of the story, I shouldnt have to listen to another ricer talk about all his fake kills when he comes in the store.
think I might have sold him on pontiacs though.

HAHAHA, good one man! I used to do that all the time years ago, its sure funny putting them in there place. I really never have anyone challenge me anymore though.

What all do you have done to your car Justin? IIRC, its fairly stock ain't it? If so, that means you can embarrass him worse in the future once you throw on a few goodies :-). We need to hang out again sometime.....

so far just a street wolf fwi and a ported sc, putting $ in a hole for a rebuild and an overkill pcm, got a set of headers just dont wanna put them on without a pcm at least.
my ride has 167,000 ticks on the clock.
as far as hanging out, that would be cool as long as the calander and clock are in good shape. your a bit away, rember.

Rebuild huh? motor? Planing anything big there? What kinda headers do you have? I'm at about 170,000 on mine too.

Yeah, you're a bit east of me. I may have to check out ol Poteau again sometime, this time not for work....

not much more than a cam, pistons if I can squeez it.
belive it or not E-bay, they dont look that bad, if I have to weld to make them seal then so be it Im not scary.

and yes, that was pretty close to it.

Oklahoma meet!!!!

We should just come to you for a mod day. I bet if you had all the parts there we could knock that out in a day.

Bet the drive wouldnt be that bad for the Tulsa and OKC crew.

Mabe we can find a decent junkyard

Nice kill. Love it when the import gets thrashed!! I'd rather push American than drive import.

You guys got approximately 170k miles, and still running strong, eh?
Glad to hear it. Renews my faith in the fact that I've got a LONG way to go.

Course, I shouldn't be suprised. I had 185k on a 3.1L Z24 ( bone stock, NO mods. ) and it still ran like day one. A friend was in real trouble, and I had just gotten another car, so I gave it to him. He's since moved to Florida, but I hear he's in the 235k range, still no trouble. LONG LIVE GM!!

thats good and all but I do most of my work in a shop in Arkansas when I wrestle the keys from his hand (where I also try to keep automotive stuff I dont want to get torn up). But if you want I can get it set up, no a/c, no bathroom, but plenty of tools to do any job you need. Its in Van Buren just off I-40. there is a store bout hundred yd off.
and one of my old dirt cars is in that shop.
good scrap yards, na, they just get the job done.

the bigest prob Ive had is with letting local trans shops touch my car.

No problems here, my motor still holds 50-55 psi oil pressure at idle, compression checks out great. I've never even had the heads off. I was still on my original 150k tranny, but I decided to swap it out for something a bit stronger, geared, and stalled. Otherwise my stock tranny is in good running order and sitting in my shed.

that's great to hear. Thanks. I tend to get a little paranoid about my DD.

I so wish these '03s came with a OP gauge. Guess I'm going to have to install one myself.

I'd be up for a road trip there! Just give me some notice and I SHOULD be there unless I get stuck on call.

Van Buren eh? Is it near the Wood Group Shop by chance? Thats our sateillite, i've ran service out of there before.

Anyway, the shop idea sounds fun for me. Even junkyard hunting or browsing sounds fun to me too. Even if I leave empty handed, its stilll fun...

Going forged pistons I assume? Any particular cam you're interested in? Been thinking about building an L67 on the side.
