Hi and help me
So i just purchased a 97 lude from someone on craiglist, sweet car, love the looks, but as i was driving home it went from good to bad and i heard a bunch of popping sounds, and the car stalled, I tried cranking it over but it was as if the starter died, can this be my problem, it won't crank at all. it just makes a clicking sound.
i'm not sure if i should contact the seller yet because i just bought the car yesterday and its christmas now, if its just the starter ill get it fixed at the shop but i know nothing about these cars, or any for that matter. just started learning cars, i usually lease them this is my first car, and unfortunately my only car now. i had to have it towed home, and I'm really worried, please help me.

cel only during rapid acceleration please help
alright so here's the deal, I have a 92 si jdm h22a. I'm currently on a 2week vacation with my car. 2 days ago I was driving about an hour trip and I decided to have a littler fun out on this stretch of highway. so I'm going about 20 in second and I hit the gas pretty hard as it starts accelerating quickly the cel comes on, vtec seems to hit fine, everything seems fine. I get to the next little town pull into a gas station shut her down. pop the hood check the oil everything seems fine. start her up, no cel??? weird right. so continue on this 2 lane highway driving normal, maybe a little cautious, everything still seems fine. I go to pass a guy going under speed limit speed up kinda rapidly,cel comes back on, still runs fine though. next town same thing turn it off then back on. now I'm getting worried. it seems to only come on when I accelerate rapidly, then it stays on till I shut her down. tried to jump the cel with a paper clip and all it does is blink at me with no precise code. these seem to be long blinks too. I'm stumped if someone could please help it would make my christmas wonderful. oh btw before the trip had my oil changed, and I've started to have a rough idle at stop. with lights on 800-1500 lights off 800-1100 I'm pretty sure its my iacv because I plugged the holes inside the tb and when I plug the upper one it damn near sucks my finger off and it settles my idle. thanks in advance for any help ,oh and merry christmas to my fellow luders.

so i guess its worse then i thought, had a mechanic check it out, he checked all my wires perfect voltage EVERYWHERE.....
starter checked out good. ignition good. coils good, wires good, relays good, he even changed them. but now im in a pickle, he tried turning the motor over by hand and it won't budge, he brought out some big metal bar looking thing and put it on the round thing on the motor, and he could barely get it to turn over.
what does that mean? he won't tell me he says bring it to my shop and i'll print you out a paper regarding my price and labor.
now what do i do, the stupid craigslist seller will NOT answer his phone, and when i beat on his door he won't answer it.
i swear i never hurt the car, i just wanted it home, all it had was insurance on it and no plates, so obviously i wouldnt be fooling around.

If thats the case I'd get my cash back. He was trying to turn the crank by hand via the crank pulley. It seems to be locked up.
Was it a DOHC (duel overhead cam)? The motor will have to be rebuilt/replaced so if its a DOHC prepare to hand over a good amount of cash. The SOHC (single overhead cam) will still cost a decent amount but not as much.
I dont know actually. There is ALOT.
Was the timing belt still intact? If so it might have jumped a tooth or two. If thats the case your valves could be hitting your pistons. But if he forced it to turn he could have just bent your valves >.>

so this is great i have work on the 2nd and now i have once again NO CAR!!!!!
so now this car is complete garbage, and i haven't even driven it more then 4 miles.
