Homemade Trunk Lid Mat and Engine Cover makeover. What do you think?

I don't think the heat will affect the velcro glue. I am using some kind of extreme velcro that is supposed to be pretty strong. Because I want to use my car for show, I will have the trunk lid mat removed when not in use. When being showed, I will put it in place.
