Hizzz noise on radiator/smells coolant

I have a '04 GTP and after I got home from work, I heard a hizzing noise on the drivers side of the radiator and it smell like coolant. It never overheated it was just above the half-way mark with the AC off. I don't want to move the car since it might just overheat and then I would have engine problems. Any suggestions on what to do.
I might also add that when I open the radiator cap (not the reservoir) a bit of coolant spitted out and the hizz noise went away. Could be a bad radiator? Flush?

Thanks,
Robert

check your radiator hoses, they like to break right where the hose goes on the tube to the radiator. look for wetness. and it may only leak when the engines hot, not so much when cold if its the hoses, you also have 2 heater hoses on the pass side behind the alternator. same deal the hose wear out.

then the plastic elbow off the manifold, water pump, or even the radiator itself could be leaking. you just need to find the wet spot and trace it.

it seems that's it's right above the radiator where's it's leaking, where the upper hose it's connected.

could be the hose or the tube to the rad leaking, let it get hot and move the hose around to see if you can make it leak. at least thats the easy one to change. lol

I'm attaching some pics, hope this helps out... or actually me LOL.

looks like its spraying onto the hose. i'd take the mount apart there and see if its rusted or worn through the radiator.

i had soemthing of this nature happen to me. ended up being the nipple where the hose goes on was cracking. i.e. the raditator. i drained sanding the area cleaned and jb weld to the rescue has been great for the past year with no problems

From what i can see in the pictures, your hoses dont look to good, maybe its just dirt.
and those mounts, i don't believe they come off, they are 10mm like bill said but they sit on there.

I thought once you pulled the bolt you could just rotate them

I'm not to sure though, as i was going to remove it, but then realized i didnt need to after i got the bolts off.

today was my day off from work...so, I took out the mounts and loosen up the fans to see where the leak was happening..so here are the pics... any suggestions, should I still use the JB or should I just buy a new radiator???

so its leaking from the ends of the fins? if so get a new radiator.

and whats all that copper looking stuff? bars stop leak? because it looks like barrs leak copper head and manifold repair stuff.

it was some type of stop leak I bought at a local AutoZone... I really didnt' want to buy a new radiator...
oh well...I guess I'll have to now...

junk yards are cheap priced if your on a tight budget.

i haven't priced one but it cant be over 100 i would think for a new one.

oh and flush your coolant, get that stuff out of your engine, before you get a new radiator installed, you dont want to clog up the new one with anything.

what's the EOC and the TOC?? can you help?? before I buy this radiator for 86 dls
