high output alt

I am putting my 270 amp alt in today and was wondering is it ok to install without the big 3? My 0 gauge is on the way for the big 3 and was just wondering if its safe to run like this. thanks

Edit: also i was trying to add a led light into my trunk so i chopped off my trunk light so i could wire it easier because of the big box i have in my trunk and now none of my interior lights work. The dash and instrument lights work but the interior lights dont work now. What could cause this?

as long as you aren't pulling more than about 100 amps you will be fine.

My 4 gauge was ok until my ends for my big wire showed up.
