We had a customer come in with a 03 2500 suburban with over 300k. It was very clean. It ran great except for the bad ground. He always was up on his maintenance and it had no leaks. If a vehicle has been taken care of high mileage doesnt really matter.
 
up to a certain point its probably worth it to keep replacing parts, i mean you can spend a few thousand on a transmission or an engine OR buy a new car for over 20k dollars

This will be what kills this car for me..... along with a damn underground parking structure thats like a humidor for cars. And if you're in Illinois, why do you speak like WI is halfway around the globe:th_laugh-lol2:

pontiac 6000le 176K, thinking head gasket, thankfully totaled
saab 900 188K, really wish I didn't crash that car, bent the unibody, but it was meticulously maintained and would "prob" be still running today
dodge spirit 120K, horrible POS, tranny problems, so I hit a telephone pole with it lol
 


my gtp has well over 200k on it and still runs perfect. my dad had an old toyota truck with 400k on it and a guy i work with has a chevy with almost 800k on it. the best though is my moms 2000 blazer. that thing has been to hell and back. it has survived 3 teens, myself included, ****ty ricer street racing, one cop chase, mud, 2 accidents, and a 1000 mile trip through the mountains on bald tires with a u haul and it was raining. it has 260k on it with the original tranny fluid and filter... lol. i dare not even touch that im suprised its still running.
 
All cars are junk, there will always be something wrong with them. Just keep them maintained and they will last. No one can say how long a particular car will last. It can boil down to what was in the metal the day it was built.
 
270843 miles on my 92 F150 and yes I do beat the hell out of it off road but keep up maintinance
 


265 000 miles on the explorer - sill strong, just some electrical bull****. 145k on the GP, works like a charm - no major problems so far.
 
My last car, 1994 GP...252k. Regular maintenance, synthetic oil, driven everyday. Never broke down or left me stranded...ever! I miss that car..My current GP GT hasn't even hit 90k and tranny has problems...stupid 4t65E piece of garbage....at least that's my only issue, given my GT's model year is riddled with issues I suppose it could be worse :-p
 
92 Plymouth acclaim with 260k it was eating oil like it was gas

my old 95 neon SOHC 5spd 270k sold it and i drove it hard
current fiances 99 neon DOHC auto 175k on it runs like a champ

my grand prix has 101k and the transmission broke the forward gear band
the Trans Am has 135k on it and has no second gear in it.
 


meh 100k isn't squat, I have 136 on my Z's block and It has seen nitrous and still runs nicely, cept now the crankcase pressure is so extreme and blow by that i oil the underneath of the car automatically lol and prevent rust.

my buddy has a gtp with 320k and runs a 3.25 pulley or something and its just fine. it just depends how you treat ur stuff.
 
My old yukon had 307k miles, and I beat the ever living piss out of it, and it ran perfect. My GP just hit 180k and I plan on it lasting well over 250k.
 
all of my cars before the GP had well over 100k. 98 cherokee has about 165k and is treated poorly at best and runs decent. '92 lesabre that i just sold had 224k and still ran well. prior to that had a '95 subaru legacy with 330k that was on its last legs. probably could've been revived with a little effort though.

my verdict: mileage doesn't matter if its been well maintained. That's part of the reason that I bought my GP with low mileage so I know that its been maintained properly.
 
i got 182,xxx miles, and runs great. bought it with 179,xxx. did a tune up at 180, and found original delco plugs and wires :th_shakinghead2: but it still ran decent. better after tho :th_thumbsup-wink:
