Either that^^, or since it is a '97...I bet the motor mount/trans mount is probably shot and there is something...example...the header DP...making contact with the non-flipped front sway bar...causing false knock.

Fwiw the car will make some fuel adjustments for the temperature change. I depends on what the IAT sensor sees before the throttle body. This was a reason I tried the modified sensors a few years ago and people thought I was crazy.

See what your timing is during the knock. Then watch your fuel trims to see how positive or negative they are.

Agreed, Unless your talking True Intake air temps and not just the sensor which will then ofcoarse effect actual density. The IAT tables are just a Spark retarding table
