High idle?

So I've been here before, but with GT's and never a GTP. I finally bught one, and I have a few questions I can't find answers to... first one is my idle... When I start the car up it will be about 1000 rpm's then it will work it's way up to about 1500 rpm's then very slowly work it's way down to 1200, and stay there. I've spayed brake cleaner all over and can't find a vac leak. (no CEL either) I also noticed that it doesn't want to "pull" its self when it's in drive, you have to give it some gas for it to start moving, but the tranny seems ok? Any ideas? Also, has anyone ever changed a power steering pump on these L67's? Mine is leaking quite a bit. Thanks in advance for your help! I'll post pics of the car soon....

Can't get the video to upload, but looking around on youtube I guess it's the MAF? No CEL on or anything. When I unplugged it, it didn't make a difference.

No worries on the vid. Your idle is controlled by the IAC or idle air control valve. This is right above the TPS. It's possible your TB/IAC area/seat is dirty. I'd suggest starting with an easy TB cleaning. Holler if it's still doing it after that.

Cleaned the whole TB, and lowered my rpm's to about 900. But now I'm noticing what I thought was a bad supercharger coupler is my transmission? It sounds like it's buzzing and doesn't hold its self in drive very well? But it drives fine and changes gears as smooth as butter...

I've done the power steering pump on the L67. It was kind of a pita. Just don't forget the o ring from the pump to the resaviore. I forgot about it and once I started the engine, turned the wheel a few times and most of the fluid poured out almost instantly. Had to do it all over again haha. Now this pump is making some noise -.-

Nope. It's probly hard to hear in the video because of the freaking intake sucking all the air out of the ozone. It changes sounds when I put the tranny all the way into 1st and work my way up to park, but 2nd and park/neutral seem to be the loudest.

I went on what you posted in text not the vid. You said your speakers pick it up well. That means your car audio system is putting it out.

Microphones record audio...not speakers.

Yeah what bill said... Ever have a system or deck in your car with a bad ground it makes a straight high audio tone to match with your rpms lol. The video doesnt play

Tom.. I read into what he said in his latest post. He thinks speakers pick up sound in teh video. Not getting feedback from the electrical system.

That's why I tossed out the educational tip about microphone vs speaker.
