HID question

I bought an HID kit for my 2001 gtp , do I need to change out the head light buckets as well or will it HID's reflect fine out of stock head lights?
 


the 97-03 headlights dont have the best ouput, they are a bit better with hids. and you just get the same bulb size, which is 9007 i believe and it goes into the same hole. unless you get a bi-xenon kit you will loose your high beams
 
I bought the 9007 kit with the 6k bulbs , i plan on replacing the headlights later but for now i needed somthing brighter because even my high beams right now suck and i drive at night alot. Why is the light out put in these cars so awfull?
 


I have a problem with my 4300 K HID lights, do they take a long time to get up to temperature? The reason I am asking is they come very nice then after a few seconds start to flicker. Not on and off but don't stay white. Hey I found a video on YouTube and that is exactly what it is doing HID flicker - YouTube
