Probably. When your ballasts start up they draw between 6 to10+ amps of current (per ballast) depending on the manufacturer's specs. Your stock halogens don't draw nearly that much (55 W / 12 V = 4.58 amps per bulb) which means your stock headlight harness can't handle that much current. Additionally, are your DRL's the headlights? If so that'll cause problems too.
well, i have a cloth over my diode for now which puts the headlights on all the time, but i disable them when i don't need them on...so you think i should go get a harness? does that just give a ground wire, and then a wire to the battery...
