Does anyone have a guide to install HID lights on a 2005 grand prix it would help me alot and be much apreciated thx.

this comes up at least once a day, use the search button type in HID and click appearance and it will take you to the HID threads. they are plug and play, make sure you pick up a relay harness too, i bought mine from VVME.com

Ok so i see alot of people say to pick p a harness and others say that its plg and play. Why is there a difference in opinion?

Alright but I got my lights with everything with it but in the instructions at some point it says I have to drill a 25 mm hole somewhere has anyone incountered this before?

it says to do it but from what i see is that the only reason for the hole is for a barrier the prevents you from wiring it. When i installed my headlights i didnt do it because there is no need for it. if you want i can take pictures of mine and send them to you. im sure the 08's and 05 headlights are the same

Sure man that would be great my email is [email protected] this is much apreciated and one thing I was told that these headlights are illegal true or not? And will the 8000k lights be to bright as low beams?

the lower the color (based on the Kelvin temp for example 6000k do now put as much lights as 3000k ones). I have not heard that they are illegal but that could be a state law or county law. It also depends on the type of ballast you get with your HID kit

Can you jst post the pics of what you have done on here as it will be helpful for other 05 drivers who may be looking at this thread :)

I was told that these headlights are illegal true or not?

True. Headlights are DOT approved as a unit, and any modification of that unit, including using a different bulb type, makes them non-approved, and therefor illegal on the road.
