Alright i just finished installing my new hids in my 98 gtp. I turned them on they seem to work fine... They are the hi/low hids but when i hit the brights it makes no difference the lights stay n the same exact spot the fogs just shut off i have no idea whats goin on can someone help me out here? The brights worked with the old regular lights.

yeah, the hi/lo kits dont really do much. I think it usually just scatters the light a bit more, barely noticable. I have had this problem too. what kit did you buy?

VVME i think is the company they are the 55w 6000k bulbs. I was doing some research found that the kit comes wired for a 9003, or 4 dont remember but wasnt the 9007 that my prix runs so it said to swich 2 wires from the plug that goes to the factory harness i did that and now my driver side bright works but other side does nothin other than stay on the low beam lol anyone have any idea what i could do? Also i agree it just scatters the light i feel the 6000k's are bright enough to run on lows all the time but still want brights incase i get flashed.

Every hid kit I've had does that. The ones I have now actually have a reg halogen bulb attached. So now when I hit my brights it sorta turns into a reg bulb.......really dim compared to hid. Lol. I use this nifty feature when behind a cop or just showing common courtesy to on coming traffic. I have hids in a stock housing so it basically looks like an inferno coming at you. Lmao

hahaha,,mine too^^^
with 55w 8k lows (no highs), and 10k fogs and both aimed as high as possible, its like the ****in sun

I had the same problem with a similar kit. After several days of playing with it I just said fck it and made my own harness from scratch with 3 relays and some red and black wire.

If you are getting the one side but not the other to actuate the bulb to change the refraction of the light, then it seems like you need to make sure your getting the voltage required to actuate the other bulb as well. There should be a super small wire that goes into the bulb housing, when energized, this wire pulls the bulb in. Sounds like your very close though since you already have one bulb base that works properly! Just make sure your getting the same voltage to the second base and you should be set!
