HID headlights size question....

I've seen this headlight projectors for my pontiac grand prix 97 but they come with a H1 bulb..... my bulb is supposed to be 9007. the question is, do a HID H1 bulb give the same light as a 9007 bulb? I think the reason they offer this projectors with a H1 bulb is because the way the projector headlights were made? the regular 9007 bulb don't fit in this headlights thats why they have to install H1 in this headlights?
