HID Bulb

when we put the HID bulb into the headlight assembly which way should the wire on the bulb be facing. The driver side headlight the little wire is facing out to the right and the driver side bulb the little wire is facing downward. The driver side one I can't unlatch it to match the other one. I might have put it in the wrong way and jammed it.

Just wondering if it matters.
