Hi To All

I am new to this forum and looking for a bit of assistance. I live in Newfoundland Canada and have owned an 03 Grand Prix for past 6 years. It is in very good condition, has only 80 original kms and just been removed from 3 years of heated indoor storage. I had it taken to dealer on flatbed as not running for so long. All fluids were changed, flushed and refilled as well as installing all new brake pads, filters, and battery. After this it rolled twice and started immediately. Works just as when I put it in storage with the exception of a/c. Compressor ran intermittantly for first few days and now does not cut in at all. Wondering if there is anything obvious I could check before taking to a/c repair shop? Will freon evaporate after a period of time?????????? If a/c coolant level is low, will this prevent compressor from cutting in? I have checked a/c fuse #28 under hood and seems fine, When I turn on a/c dash light indicator works fine and all other heat/defrost function/blower fan works excellent, just no cold air and before I stored car a/c was blowing icy cold after just a few minutes. Any help greatly appreciated. I luv my car just as much as when I bought same and hope to get this fixed asap. This is 3.8l non turbo engine with dual zone heat/ac (with lever controls not digital). Thanks again and have a great day folks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don

Welcome to the forums.

Refrigeration tech that I know has always told me that if the system leaks out/needs to be "recharged" then something is broken and needs to be repaired.
