im new to this and i am purchasing a 07 grand prix base, and suggestions and problems that i should look for with these cars, and also i wanna do an hid install how difficult is it gonna be and do i need special relays etc and will it affect the drl, and advise will be greatly appreciated.

If you're planning on doing any engine building besides an intake, get an 04-05 so you can use HPTuners.

Most people install HIDs without any issues. if you have flicker or they won't turn on, you will need the relay harness. DDM and VVME are the most frequently used.

im thinking of getting my hid kit and cold air intake from carid.com are they any good or is there else where i should go.

A lot of members here have made their own, but I really liked the K&N FIPK I had on my 04. If you get any sort of warranty with the car, a K&N won't void it, but they are around $350 new.

how do i make my own and if i make my own will it throw any codes or check engine light or will it hurt anything? and yes the car comes with a 4 year warranty also.
