Hey Y'all

My name is Alicia and I'm from Texas. I recently bought a 2000 pontiac grand prix GT. I've been having some really annoying troubles, like it won't start ! Hoping this forum can help me out. Its involving the fuel system. I have replaced the filter and pump and it drove for less than 24 hrs then broke down again. I'm not sure whats wrong with it. I have a mechanic who can do the work, I just don't want to buy parts that don't need replaced. -.- Can anyone help me out?

Fabricate a fused jumper(20amp). Install fuel pressure gauge. Remove fuel pump relay. Check for power to relay. Looking at your relay identify the switched part of the circuit and corresponding pins. Install fused jumper to complete this circuit. If you hear the fuel pump run and see good fuel pressure, your problem is on the control side of the relay. If you dont get fuel pressure and your pump is not running, your problem is between the relay and pump.
