Hey i know theres a header and manifold forum but it's barely active so im posting a question here. I just bought SSAC headers and heard that the downpipe on these is weak. I was curious what i should buy for these to stop the leak and ticks. Please link me?
 


Agree with the post above. It's not so much the downpipe as the single walled flex connector. Local mechanic told me that it should only be an issue if the motor mounts are worn. Interlock flex connector from ZZP is $15.

I just welded up a new downpipe for mine last night. No more sink trap and I used a ZZP interlocking flex to avoid the ticking. Hopefully, I'll get them on next weekend.
 
i bought the same style headers from ebay, have no leaks or ticks and paid $220 shipped...my 2 cents
 


i did... i just sealed up what i THOUGHT was my last leak saturday. where flex meets downpipe. now im thinking i need a new flex piece put in.
