• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hello everybody.Nice group. I am here mostly for my bosses car. We are getting the 400 bored and milled, and a stroker kit. Suspension is gone through, OEM quality or close though (Wasn't planning on the stroker at that time. Be prepared for the questions.

Still getting this attachment limit, worked out.

got to be a early 70's or older grand prix. cause that 400 ended in the 70's. and look at all the room, miss the old days.

Thats the 72 GP from his other post. I have one in the back yard and a 1969 parked out front. The engine compartment is the stuff of dreams on both, but more so on the 69 because there's no header panel in the way. I prefer to climb in rather than reach much.

Welcome aboard old school noob, I'll help if I can but am mostly a bodyman. Daily drove Pontiac 400s for a long time though and got familiar along the way. Which heads and cam are on this stroker build?

Sorry don't know the numbers. Comp cam. 70cc Edelbrock heads, forged eagle rotating assembly, and pistons. My bosses car, my friends is the builder. He's built a lot of race engines.

Finding a gas tank, for this specific year, is difficult.

Thanks for the welcome, lots of room, for sure.

Yeah I looked for a minute. Those gas tanks are hard to find. Maybe a '70,'71 is the same tank with a different filler tube. They look the same in pictures. It might be just different venting on the tanks, but an earlier year or 2 might use the same straps.. ya know. Emissions were kicking in bout then. I think I'm not sure. I was 4 at the time. :)

Not the first time I heard tanks are hard to find. Mine has the original and the '69 has a crappy one from the Parts Place. So are they just hard to find or not available? If the trans xmember is short its probably for a later year.
