Hey. new gxp owner here. Need some help with mufflers !!

Just got a 06 GP GXP...

Failed Md inspection because the mufflers have holes starting in them

Question.. where can I get just the mufflers without buying the whole darn exhaust system ??? TIA

I think I found the stockers on Summit. No idea the part number, but I remember they were walkers (brand). You won't need a whole cat-back or anything.

I had the exhaust stuff written down, but I found it searching this site. They're 2 1/4" offset inlet, center out I believe. Call a local shop to make sure.

Searched Walkers site..no listing for 5.3L ???

Called 2 local shops and was told same thing, nothing showing for the 5.3 without the whole cat-back

Find ones the same length and same inlet/outlet as stock and buy those.

They will have to be welded in because the cat-back system are all one piece.

Why not just use some muffler tape for the time being to get thru, go to another location if need be. there are no real direct bot on beside Walker, and even those require work. check this thread.

Just buy some cheap 3800 mufflers.

They're basically the same damn thing.

Use them.

I have a 06 GXP same problem, no mufflers listed. Look up same year 3.8 mufflers work, hangers are same inlet same just cut behind old muffler, have to get your tips welded on.
