Hey im about to order CAI need help please.

I had an open cone on my car before the fwi and it seemed very sluggish going through town in stop and go traffic. Running down the highway for a few miles after the underhood temps went down it seemed to run great. My opinion is that my car runs better and is more consistant with the fwi than with the open cone. It seems to run the same whether I'm in town or on the highway. I couldn't see any benefit of my engine sucking in 150*+ air into my engine. Just noticed the negatives of it breathing the hot air coming off my engine.

Ok, I see. There comes a point where it's kind of a must have. What level of boost or pulley size would benefit switching to the open cone? From what I found doing a search would be a 3.25". Is that pretty close? Just wondering because I'm about done with my supporting mods for a 3.5" pulley. Just got my PCM back today from reptile.

anything below the typical 3.4 setup. As soon as you run meth or an intercooler run an open cone.

Thanks! I won't be going that far. My MR2 takes care of any $hit talkers and only comes out for money or a slap in the face. My GTP is just supposed to be a low 14's, high 13's if i'm lucky DD.
