• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

New to the group. I live in Omaha, NE. My wife's 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix has a weird issue. The right side turn indicator blinks fast and then we could hit a bump and it works normally. I replaced the bulb and still had the issue. Would shake the wires and it would start working. Traced it out it appears to be this thick black wire with yellow hash marks on it. It has three black wires connected on either end. Is this something I can just cut out and bypass or do I need to put something there. I am just afraid it is a resistor or something. Car did get dunked but we replaced the engine and this appeared several months later. If you need a picture I can get you one later.

if its a factory taped up splice open it up and look for corrosion. if you find any you need to cut that splice out and re solder it back together.

It sounds like somebody tried to use LED bulbs, with resistors spliced in.
Resistors probably broke, which is why it flashes until you hit a bump. If there are resistors in there, I would cut them out, solder each wire back together, and get some cheap regular bulbs, unless you want to try and keep the LEDs.
