Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

hey guys need some help with this one

lol i wouldn't put tranny fluid in my motor.

it could be a few things

-exhaust leak
-lifter tap (which its most likely)
-first sign of rod knock

where should i start? what to do im thing maybe seafoam... lucus in the oil.... idk its been there i think since i got it. but tonight i just got the feeling it was a tad louder. i wouldnt mind a nice project as long as it doesnt hurt my pockets

Thicker oil stops lifter tick, not thinner like tranny fluid. Try an oil change with some thick **** and see if it goes away.....doesn't work 100% but it's pretty damn good.

My friend who is a small engine mech said while he was in school they ran ATF fluid as oil. He says they ran ATF fluid for a few minutes and it cleans the internals like crazy. Drain it and replace with oil. He also said they used it on regular engines as well. I however, do not give consent on doing so as I have never done so, nor know the actual nature of doing so.

If you put too thick of an oil in, it wont circulate when it's cold and you'll be raping your engine until it gets up to operating temp.

That ATF idea sounds interesting, but I'd be too scared to do it, lol. I'd only run it for a few minutes, drain it and refill with cheap storebrand oil, run it for a few minutes and drain again just to get it all out... that ATF that's leftover has to dilute the new oil like crazy :th_nervous:
