• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I've been using information from this site for quite some time, so I though I might introduce my self.

I'm a jr. in high school, De La Salle if anyone has heard of it. This 04 gt is my first car. I paid $8,000 in full with 70k on it, some scratches in the paint and the interior. Haven't put a scratch on it myself and plan on keeping it that way. I've done all the mods myself, except for the tint. I hate spending money on oil/brakes or any other problem so I do any maintenance I can. A year ago, I knew nothing about cars, so I’m still sort of a noob.

Exterior - velocity wheels and tires on craigslist. 35%,5% window tint. Tinted the tails myself with some vht and clear. I bought some decals from that store that is advertised here. They add an ok touch to the car.

Interior- I hardwired a radar detector under my mirror. I installed a kenwood dpx302 and hooked that up to my iphone. Also bought a custom iphone mount for the gp that is installed behind the dash trim. Recently wired in a Kicker solo baric l5 and a kenwood kac-9104d.

Btw I'd just like to thank this site. Without it, I wouldn't have been able to: clean my maf, change my brake pads, fix my water leak, buy wheels or tires, install my sound system, take out my back seat, or polish up my headlights.

Let me know what you think.

i used carburetor spray. I just unplugged the battery and sprayed that little wire. now that i think of it, I don't think the maf was my problem. I would have to give my car gas when i started it or else it would just die. i think i ended up spraying that butterfly valve right behind the maf and scrubbing it with a toothbrush and some paper towels. fixed it right up

ya thats right. i used maf cleaner on the maf. a week later i used carb spray on the throttle body. i dont know how safe carb spray would be on a maf.
