New to forums in general. I'm at the point of making some modifications to my '04 GTP and it looks like there might be a bit of 'sperience here. One annoyance I've noticed is that i have a rattle/knock at idle. Sounds like lifter noise. I've had shop guys tell me it's normal for this engine. True?

probably your sc coupler is shot, go to youtube and search for 3800 v6 shot coupler, and see if is the same noise, its a easy fix, should sound like rocks tumbling in the engine, and welcome

theres vid on line as to how to swap it out too. or use the search engine here or the how to section helps too.
