• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hesitation

I just installed some AC Delco rapid-fire plugs. I didn't change the wires because they seem to still look good. Now when I am on the freeway it does a slight hesitation when accelerating. Do I need to get some new wires or did I get some bad plugs? The wires have never been changed and I have 120,000 miles.

Well, first thing I would do is check the installation. Ensure the spark plugs were properly torqued, and check they weren't broken during installation. Next check both ends of the spark plug wires to ensure they are pushed on all the way.

Lastly, and this is just a theory so people don’t shoot me.:th_nervous: The plugs you installed were probably “ribless”, and the plugs you took out were probably ribbed. Most plugs are ribbed to help prevent arcing. Your old spark plug boots my not be sealing tight on those new ribless plugs, you may need new wires.
