• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

okay here's whats up. got a 98 gtp and the whole winter it never acted up till the weather warmed up yesterday. I was driving around since it was nice out and after a stoplight the motor would hesitate to run and would spit and sputter. so i threw her in neutral and shut it off, waited a few seconds then turned it back on and away she went. It still does it tho a few minutes later or if im at another stop light. WTF is goin on???? Possibly MAF? any ideas anyone? I want to get it fixed asap cuz its embarrassing to see a gp in the middle of traffic not moving! thanks

ever done your crank sensor? mine would randomely die and randomely not start before i changed my crank sensor

nope never replaced that, i just put new plugs wires and a pcv valve in it tho, and im still gettin ****ty gas mileage

i thought the cam sensor controlled engine fire and the crank was only for the gauges...get a scan guy to know for sure..there are a few things that could cause this and instead of randomly replacing parts save a ton of money and know for sure

crank sensor is used to determine fueling and such along with the tach
basically when your crank sensor stops working its telling your computer the motor is not moving therefore it wont deliver any fuel or spark thus the motor dying.

okay cause mine went out and even through the code for the crank sensor a few years back and the car ran just fine but the tach didnt work...after replacement the tach worked fine so i just assumed the cam sensor controlled all that
