Why does it take so much money to squeeze out minimal hp for our cars?
Depends on the car. Dollar for dollar mod for mod our cars are actully pretty good and cheap to do if you stay away from places that have huge markups on simple **** (ZZP for example). There are many who will agree with me on this too. These cars are a hell of a lot cheaper to build that many out there. Theres a good reason why I still play with mine than my LS2 sitting in the garage. Not to mention, these cars can be had for CHEAP. I wish this option was availible to me back in high school, I would of had the fastest/cheapest car in the parking lot.
I think you need to do some more shopping and compare some prices. You'll be surprised what you find. GP is a good back for your buck. A good built tranny is pricey, but compare a built tranny/rear end on a RWD vehicle the prices come pretty close in the end.
I mean you throw an exhaust on a camaro and its 20 more whp.
Depends if its an LT1 or LS1... I will say an LS1 F-bodies exhaust is way more restrictive than ours even with a u-bend. I can see a good gain there. Start pricing a full exhaust and long tubes on one of those, quailty ain't gonna be cheap I'll tell you that.
Well why can you supercharge a stock 4.6 litre mustang and gain 150whp. And dont say you cant ive seen the tests and numbers. So what gives???
150 WHP? Ummmm, I kinda doubt that. And if anything it wasn't on pump gas, it was on race gas and the boost turned up high. And not to mention all the supporting mods too such as headers/full exhaust, fuel pump, injectors, etc etc. Not as cheap and easy as you make it out to be. Yes i've been around a Pro-Charged 4.6 before too, takes more than just bolting on an S/C. If it was that damn easy, the grave yards would be full of more teens.
Argue with me all you want but the fact of the matter is, dollar for dollar mod for mods these cars are a real good bang for the buck. Especially for how cheap you can get a hold of one nowadays. Oh well, I don't know anything anyway :th_winking:
