I wanna get the F.1 ram air hood on PFYC.com but honestly I like the carbon fiber but still deciding. Any opinions? and pictures of one on a car would be AWSOME!!!

im not a fan of exposed carbon fiber and i would always prefer a painted hood, but if you dig it then go for it. the F1 is my favorite hood.

yea mine too but i dont know how it would look because i have a 40th anniversary GTP and i just dont want to look ricey.

as long as it's color matched and not stick-on scoops, you're good to go. unless it's a WS6 hood, those look awful on GPs.

here ya go. personally i thing color match is the way to go. unless you got like a silver or red or white gp its prolly best to color match it.

I say get it, put it on your car and if you don't like it then get it painted.

A little off topic but does anyone know between carbon fiber and fiberglass which weighs more and is more durable? Say a brick of CF and a brick of FG which would weigh more and which ones more durable if in an accident?

carbon fiber is lighter. but our aftermarket hoods are still fiberglass with a layer of carbon fiber on em. theyre not full carbon. cb is useless on street anyway unless you go full body cb. i trust fiberglass over cb in an accident
