Help witk kr

Alright so I finally got everything I wanted done for my 3.4 setup (All my mods are in my sig), but I am still seeing lots of kr. I just went for a spin and got a 7* spike in kr. I know its not false kr b/c I drove the living hell out of it with the belt off trying to get some kr reading, but I didn't even get a blip. I know I have way more flow mods than necessary for a 3.4... so no problems there. My Ltft generally stay between -3 and 2, but the second I go WOT my Ltft goes to 4.6 and stays there. The second I let off the gas it drops to -10 and then starts leveling back out. The only thing I can think of is it is having fuel problems. I replaced the fuel filter, which was dirty, but no change in kr readings. So now I'm thinking fuel pump or pressure regulator. What do you guys think? Is there anything else I should look at? TIA

From the little you mention, I see nothing fuel related. 4.6 LT is reasonable and that's what it's locking in at WOT. If it were +/-16 or more then yes, fuel would be a concern.

Does your exhaust rub, are there loose parts on the engine.

Well, I'm positive there is nothing loose or hitting something causing false kr, as it only gets it when deep into the boost at wot. Like I said, it doesn't have any when the s/c belt isn't on... mabe the s/c itself is causing false kr? not likely.

And scan what?

Haven't done that before... How would I go about doing that? All I have is an aeroforce scan gauge. I don't know how I would get a scan on here.

Yep, that's what my interceptor gauge is telling me... I don't know why I'm getting so much of it though.

Before I got my tune from reptile I had kr spikes near 9*, and it would sit around 5* under wot. After the tune it stays between 1* and 3*, with that one 7* spike. Even when I had a plog, dp, 1.9 rockers, and stock pulley I had 4* kr spikes. :th_shakinghead2:]

The car runs smooth and pulls hard, with only a slight miss at wot, which I think is caused by the pcm pulling timing.

4.6 Locking in on LFT in WOT Enrichment isnt reasonable. The cars lean, and knocking, and pulling timing which also Rapidy raises the Exhaust temps which can cause damage also..

See, now that is what I was thinking! So there still is a possibility of fuel pump, or regulator problem. Any other opinions?

And Bio, I don't know how to get a log on here, but what values should I be concerned about if I look at a scan myself?

Alright got ya. I didn't think I could do anything that in depth with it...

See if you can find someone that can scan and log a file for you. We could figure it out quickly. Could be a tune issue, could be a mecanical issue. Hard to tell. A scan would go along ways

I guess I might just have to try finding someone with a scanner then... do you know where I should look?

I don't think it's a tune issue though. It had excessive kr before I got my current tune. The odds of the factory tune and Brian's tune causing this much kr is unlikely.

Well I took it for another drive... I took one wot run when the engine was just warm ( around 165-170*F) and it had absolutely zero knock! Is there a certain temperature the coolant needs to be before the knock sensor starts working?

After it got up to operating temperature, I took it for a wot run all the way up to 100mph and I got a 10.5* kr spike
Well needless to say, no more flooring it till I get it fixed...

What kind of scanner or software do I need to have it scanned with? HPtuner, DHP, Techforce, Snap-On scanner, or what?

I'm thinking about just replacing the fuel pump and hoping for the best...

TTT

I guess it's a retarded question.... but seriously, what do I need to have it scanned with to get a log on here?
