• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Help with Supercharger Noise

Can you hear it better from the snout, or the intake?

It sounds like either something fell into the snout when you changed the oil (a little pebble or something) or some of the coating on the rotors is shot.

Though hopefully a more trained ear will chime in.

When i used my steoscope its coming from the snout, and when i changed the oil, I dont think anything could of fell in there cause it was off the car. The coating on the rotors were in GREAT shape

Fast check. Take the belt off. Rock the pulley(by hand) back and forth, if it feels a little loose between shakes then the couple is worn, 100k on a stock coupler is about the breaking point.

If it feels tight and there is NO play in it, spin it fully and see if you can feel a odd spot (should have a rough spot if the bearing are going).

This is the best way to check for sure and it will only cost you about 20-30 mins max.
