Idk, we still got em here for round 150-300 for a 100k mile motor.
Never said they can't be rebuilt, they can. It still just a pushrod V6. I just takes way to much effort to make it worth it. Its smarter to just go to the JY and get one.
I just searched on carpart around Sioux falls, and the prices are nowhere close to that. Nor the miles.
You guys pretty much said, if you attempt to rebuild a 3800, it won't last. Don't make me go back and quote all of it.
Dude, this isn't paint. This is us trying to save you some money!
dude. just leave, dont let the door hit you in the ass. you will never fit in here. or anywhere else for that matter with your attitude.
you cant find the part cause you cant buy it any more, back from page one of this crap fest of a thread. have fun up on your high horse all alone in life.
page 4 lol
what a waste of time this thread is.

Let's just agree here, there is one fact that we know is true and you don't, and that's the whole reason this thread is going on and on... That slapping in a rod and bearing is not likely to last much longer than 500 miles. You say yeah right it will last a long time. We say no, not likely. You're a pretty stubborn person to not agree with like 10 people, many of which have been around these motors a lot longer than you. We are not experts at throwing rods in 3800s because we're smarter than that.
But we're on the same page now man.. Go for it.
yeah the JY is expensive but everyone here goes through a local guy.. He has 3800s for 100-500 bucks..... lol Not disagreeing here man just saying. and it wont last if a rebuild isn't properly done

I watch craigslist and the local forums to try and pick up running l67's for way cheaper than the junkyard has them. But, they are so much harder to find than they were 3-4 years ago. Eventually, we will have to build them if we want an L67.
With proper machining and machine shop work it can be done. Dude, you are the biggest ass I have ever met. We are all telling you its possible, if not done right it will go pop. Its smarter/ cheaper to just buy a JY motor.Lol, so now your justification is the assumption I will not do it properly... thanks
