You guys be quiet. I don't know any girl that isn't waiting for the GUY to make the move first. Don't be shy and expect her to do it, she WILL think of you as just a friend. Girls like guys with confidence. Unless she REALLY, REALLY likes you. If you aren't comfortable with that, then lean on her shoulder. Geez LOL. Think about it, you guys have been talking and already texting. If she doesn't want anything to do with you in that way, she will ignore you and avoid hanging out in the first place.

LOL that would be awkward..first time hanging out..and randomly doing it. But hey if you are getting cuddly with her, I LOVE it when guys do that..and I love playing with their hair and running my fingers through it.
 
For a first date I can't imagine how awkward just laying your head on her lap would be. That's just beyond my comprehension lol.
The arm across the shoulder or something ok, but laying your head on her lap? Come on lol
 
OK, here are the 3 stages of "touching" you should work through.

stage 1: hands, lower back

get used to touching her hands... its leads to holding hands (sounds lame, but is REALLY powerful). Guiding her through a door with your hand on her lower back is really good.

stage 2: neck, upper leg, stomach

after you guys can hang out and you can touch these parts with your "parts" (doesnt have to be your hands at this point really), the neck touch is really cool when you do something with her hair.... after you have hit most of these a few times and she likes it, you are then ready for stage 3.

stage 3: well, you probably get the idea by now, this is kissing and whatever highschool kids do nowadays.


Also protip:

99/100 times when a girl suggests you watch a movie together, she assumes there will not be much movie watching going on.... If you are not doing one of stage2 or stage3 after 10 minutes of the movie, kick her out the door and call another girl (or just go and get your leather vest and lookup the local gay bar).

Sometimes you find movie buff nerd girls... I cant really offer advice here other than you may just have to settle for stage2 stuff here.
 


My thing is (and this is great timing because it's cold now) how like when you walk out of the movie, you're both cold and you just kinda stand together bodies pressed together. that's always nice to conclude a date with lol
 
grow a mullet, join a van halen cover band and get an old yellow camaro with black stripes, that should get you laid :th_laugh-lol2:

Hippo, what we're all saying is
1. Gather yourself and your manhood up and ask her out like a gentleman would
2. When you're on the date (cause she will say yes) don't act like a total douche
3. Treat her nice
4. Be yourself
and finally....
5. Show that you like her (doesn't have to be flat out "I'm in love with you etc etc") but it's ok to break the friendship barrier, after all, that's why you're doing this right?

There you have it! Dating in 5 simple steps. ;)

don't listen to the horny bastards. do what danielle, i, and some others have told you. come to the girl with respect and confidence, ask her out. go out have a good time and report back.
