Help with coolant loss?!

Well, i was out messing around with the car after i got the tourque app, and i did a 0-70 run. I pulled over after it to mess with the app some and looked up to see steam coming from my hood. I quickly shut off the car and checked the engine. It appeared that coolant had puked all over the left side of the engine bay by the reservoir. I Drove it home and kept a look at the temp and it stayed the same as it usually does, but when i got home the liquid had evaporated and there was no new liquid, at least not that i know of.

Now im not totally sure what happened or what to do. I don't think its the water pump, but i could be wrong. It appeared that there was a small leak by the intake manifold on the block. I already checked my oil and it isn't milky. I checked the dipstick/oil cap, so im not sure if its the Intake manifold gasket. Im really not sure what it is. I have had to add coolant in the past, but it wasnt very fast..every couple of months.

Any ideas? Any help is appreciated as this is my DD! Thanks!

I good guess is the coolant elbow thats just there, goes from the alt bracket to the LIM.

Maybe when you went WOT it built enough pressure to push coolant out of there, maybe the elbow has a crack.

If your motor doesn't sounds effed.. don't think it's effed. Pretty straightforward concept and one that'll help you with these motors. Plus.. they take a serious overheating to mess them up.

Go do the elbows, report back and FWIW when a mechanic or car guy talks about a car, left is driverside and right is passenger. Think of the orientation as if you are sitting in the driverseat. :th_thumb-up:
