well my abs, sts and tcs light popped up and rented a scanner and here is what i get

B1385 Device Ignition START Circuit = BCM?
B3950 left rear turn signal circut bcm
U1301 not sure about this one

then in history
P0856 traction control input signal

so i needs a little help figureing these out, but i think im about to spend some money. anybody have any good info i will give you a dounut. lol

Having much luck with that gxp? lol just playing but I really have no clue what any of those codes mean. Good luck though and a free bump.

so i learned that the u1301 is a short to batery and i had to replace the positive side for the battery terminal. maybe all my issues are from the connection? they all seem to relate to electrical

U---- codes are module communication codes. those have to be fixed first, because no communication causes a lot of things to not work. short to battery means short to voltage though, not necessarily the terminal. some open wire on the feed side of any circuit. i'll try to remember to look the code up on service information tomorrow at work and give you an idea as to where to start. you're gonna have to forget the other codes until the U code is fixed though

Start with google and or getting teh actual GM info for the codes. The Diagnostic Aids are usually key in figuring these things out.

didn't get the chance to look today, had a bunch of sh!t going on with my mentor quitting...
couple things - global reset. disconnect the battery terminals and touch them together for about 30 seconds.
if you have a meter, make sure the key is off and test for 60 ohms of resistance at pin 6 and pin 14 of the data link connector to make sure your communication lines are in good shape. it should be GM LAN high speed anyways... if not, key on and check for voltage at pins 1, 2, and/or 5, something between 0-5 volts and changing constantly

data link? any diagrams, im new to the 04+ plus car, i would like to add my DIC seems to not be holding the date

i figured it out lol, uhm global reset did nothing and my meter needs a battery, with work im so busy, and answer these ? if ohms are off what should i check? and if power doesnt flutuacte with power then what? just trying to figure this out before i go ripping my hair out. i do hear about some abs pump?moudule going out. Jl4 i believe, wondering if dexcool messed up something there

your abs module doesn't have dexcool, it's the computer attatched to your brake master cylinder. if you don't have 60 ohms then you have a problem on a communication line. problem is, it could be any communication line. SI is supposed to work at my house, but it's not letting me log in. basically, you'd be looking for a short to voltage... somewhere in the car. i THINK that the turn signals are module controlled in the newer cars, so that code is probably related to the U code

ok, managed to get on and read through the info. for U1301, you cannot retrieve the code when it's current; the scan tool wouldn't communicate. so that is most likely an intermittent problem.
B3950 - does your left rear turn signal work?
B1385 - this one is kinda interesting. did you ever have a time where your car didn't start?
P0856 - this is kinda interesting, it's a fault on the communication line between the electronic brake control module (EBCM) and engine control module (ECM)

so, like i said, any time the car didn't start? what happened to set these codes?

well, i have 60 ohms key off, key on theres pulses rangeing from 4.xto5.x
b3950- all my signals are working great,
b1385- actually the other day none of my accesroy came on, but when i did try to start it it just turn over liket there was no spark
and on the 1301 i was having an issue with the scanner, cord issue, but i know it works cause i read codes on several cars.
and the codes going off was more random sitting in traffic, but i was going through a constrution area so little bumpy. but yesterday while
i was ohming comm. lines when i went to check pulese the lights where not poping on so i drove around the block and they never showed, but the second i went for arbys they were there on start up.
and not to look stupid lol i was saying dexcool in the abs module connection from the filler being right above it.

gotcha lol. seems like you have a damaged communication wire somewhere around your bcm. your turn signals are controlled by the bcm, and the ignition switch is an input to the module as well. a short in that line would cause a no start

well reading through the gm service manuaul on 05 there was a known routing issue and wires can chaff, so imma check that later

Re: help with abs codes and hiostory (update fixed)

So after replacing ignition switch random bcm codes went away the. The u1301 ended being a bad connection on the abs module. Thanks for all the help.
