Any way to get it to go back up?

Its the driver side window. It has been easy to go down, but over the past several months it would go up a bit then stop. I would have to let go of the button then push it again. Yesterday I took off the window switch and cleaned the contacts(were black). Reinstalled and no dice. I just need the window back up till I can get a switch. Is there anyway to bypass the switch so I can get the window up for now?

Pull the switch out take a paper clip and jump across the positive and negative on the connector. dont hold the paper clip too long as it will get hot. If that dont work im gonna say your having regulator problems

Thanks for the help I'll give it a try. Just need to figure out which is the positive side and which is the negative side. Anyone have a picture handy on which points to touch?

Interesting. I just tried various connectors and none of the windows rolled down when making connections with a paper clip. All I got was a burnt finger and thumb in the shape of a paper clip. LOL

Ok do this plug the connector into the switch and probe into the connector then where the wires go into the connector. You may have to have that master switched plugged in for it to work sorry should have stated that before.

That worked thanks! Window is up and as soon as I got back in the garage it started raining. Good timing. :)

Now to shop for a new switch.
