Help! Weird KR Issue

Ok guys I have this really odd kr issue...at wot i will see 3-4 degrees of kr...I get some kr going up a hill and the Torque convert locks...most the time I have 0 kr driving to and from work which is about 30 min...then if I have to stop at the store and the car sits for over 20 mins then when I start it up and start driving it will spike up to 10 degrees of kr for about 5 seconds then goes away...seams to be worse if it sits for around an hour...this kr is under very light throttle and its always when I am pulling out of the parking lot or pulling onto a side street...so its always prob under 30 mph...there is no kr at idle and none when in gear idling...only when starting to accelerate under light throttle...car only has dp and intake stock tune stock pulley...if anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them thanx Toby

Mileage on the car?

Condition of the motor/trans mounts?

Larger diameter downpipe could be making contact with the sway bar under load, causing false knock.

Is the downpipe catted? If not...do you have an o2 simulator in there?

How many miles?
Use 91+ octane
Replace fuel filter
Clean MAF sensor
Clean throttlebody
Fresh spark plugs
Fresh spark plug wires
Check for vacuum leaks
Inspect lower engine mount
Flush coolant
Check/change oil and filter
Clean air intake filter
Scan

That shouldn't matter... unless it's a used cat with like 150,000 miles on it...

It should because using an o2 simulator in any '01+ car screws with cat diagnostics and fuel trims.

I'm not talking about the converter failing here.

Also, try to add a little pipe inbetween the filter and the MAF, sometimes the filter bolted on the end of the MAF can skew MAF readings causing crap readouts and messing with the tune. Been there, done that.

Ok ill try that for sure...I have the filter attached directly to the maf

94k
motor mounts look good
92 oct every tank
new plugs
new wires
cleaned maf
downpipe is not even close to swaybar
running rear o2 without sim(going to turn off CEL with HP Tuner)
All I can think of right now

I have the same problem dude. I used to be kr free. It just happened out of the blue that my car wants to be a knock monster.

So when you give it light throttle above 30% it spikes kr like crazy then goes down right ?
