• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Help please

Well i no longer have a GTP =/ but im still riding in a Wbody =)

Im having a weird squeeking sound that seems to happen more so when i hit the gas then anything, I attempted to change the alternator, drive belt, drive tensioner and still nothing. I also took a video of it to show you all and maybe get an answer, both shops i've take the car into has told me that it's the Idler tensioner for the drive belt. Which I replaced and it stopped squeeking for manybe 5min and it started right back up again.

Any ideas?

yep its work, im think a bearing or supercharger coupler? doesnt sound good tho, you need a stethoscope

take the blower belt off and see if it still does it after that steth the blower snout behind the pully it does sound like a few tensioners ive done but its easy to pin point with a steth

noises in engines bays are hard to diagnose over the internet. we can just tell you what it could be from our expirences since sounds dont throw codes, i think you should invest in a stethoscope

Or just take a screwdriver and set it on places...works just the same...or a dowl rod. That sh1ts expensive...get creative.

10 bucks for a steth at az or kragen

If it did it with the blower belt off its a/c compressor/ water pump/ tensioner or pulleys for the accesorys
