Help on Sway bar

I looked under my 98 GTP and the passenger side connection of the sway bar is broke off. Now how concerned should i be. I plan on fixing it ASAP but should i park my car until it is?

Don't be concerned. I have had mine off almost as long as i have had the car. Did not even notice a difference.

I even have my old one if you're intrested a long with a brand new set of bushings still in the wrapper..

ok Just wondering if it affected anything beside performance turns. Thank you for the info. The sway bar you got is it the one that came with the car or an updated solid one?

What price you looking for shipped to 15717

YES you should take prompt action on fixing that problem. It will affect your steering and potentially throw off your car's alignment if it the sway bar is totally disconnected from the end on the control arm (A-arm) of the car. Sure you can drive it, but I would use extreme caution until you can replace the sway bar.

And like Guz said, the GMPP sway bar is the best way to go. All the others out there, well there is only Addco* that also currently makes an aftermarket sway bar for the GPs, but they are way to pricey. You can pick up a good BEEFY GMPP sway bar for less a $100 bucks. Or you can go all out and get the complete GMPP kit, which includes BOTH front and rear sway bar, 1 strut tower brace, and a pair of solid rear trailing arms for approx $175 + shipping from GMPP directly.

You can see the difference between the stock sway bar and the GMPP front sway bar here......It's quite noticable.

I would for sure replace it asap. Sure you can remove it, but let me tell you if you put a GMPP sway bar on there you WILL feel a difference. I'd get the kit and do both at the same time.
