help needed

I have a 04 grand prix gtp and I have problems with it. It starts half the time and other times it dont. If it does start it runs for a second or two then dies. I can hear the fuel pump prime sometimes. But not every time I turn the key to on. Its a 04 so I dont believe it has a resistor. I checked the fuses and relay. Both seem to be good. I also check the shradder at the rail and fuel comes out. Today it died on me and would start then die. I pulled key and it kept dinging like the key is in the ignition when it wasnt.

a maf on the fritz has been know to act like this. try unplugging the maf car off, then start it up. if it runs better its the maf. bill always says to try tapping the maf too while the cars at idle. some times the engine will clear up with one tap, then act up with another tap.

Ill try that tomorrow. Im going to clean the maf and throttle body.
