So i looking for help from anyone that has installed this big ass heat exhanger. So far i got A piece of angle iron steel that i going to drill through to attach the heat exchanger to the bottom of the beam of the bumper, NOT the radiator support. The bracket will either wit flush with the beam or it will in more to give an extra inch or so. Here is some pictures of what i got going on if anyone has done this install with a heat exchanger other than zzp, please feel free to help out. thanks

How would you go about this project?

Well, its finally installed. I just put the angle iron in a drill press, made some marks where it mounts and used a jack to hold it up, used bolts with a ton of washers for spacers and some locking washers and here is the end result. I still need to cut those tabs off on the bottom but this thing is huge and a definite BLING factor

i think its to low, first time you park to close to a parking stop and it hits and its torn up.

and you can see the mounting tabs on the bottom. make it higher.

Reason i mounted it on the bottom support was becuase it was the only way to get it be in closer to the radiator, if i just mounted it directly into the bottom support beam wouldnt it be too high? Notice on the first picture how the angle iron is shaped to allow the fmhe to be 1.5 inches closer to radiator? I thought it needs to be that way or bumper may not go on, but if you all have any other suggestions lets hear them. Ive already thought of just cutting off the bottom tabs, but even then its still too low for me. Any ideas?

I think I would adjust that upper bracket a little so you can suck it up just a some more, you really don't want it lower than the lip.
On a side note I do get a kick about of people commenting about being worried about parking curbs...when you choose to have a FMIC, A2A IC, SD lip, lowered car etc etc you just have to be mindful and not try and hang the front end of your car over the parking curb like some old lady LOL!

Plenty of guys just use the top 2 tabs and move it up and drill through the rbar. Hell should give you enough 2-3 inches in clearance.

Well when it's hang way lower then anything on the car yea you have room to worry.. Curbs aren't your biggest problem. **** in the road etc is what you have to worry about.

when you pull into a parking lot or driveway thats got a dip or hump, its so dead cause it will push it into that angle iron too.

Cut the bottom tabs off, and bolt the upper tabs right onto the support?

That's what I would do. Seems easy and should give you plenty of ground clearance.

But if it's too far forward where the bumper doesn't fit, then cut "L" shaped piece of metal you have as short as possible. Should gain about 2-3 inches more of clearance.

Here you go, After a ton of cussing and drilling and trying to get bolt to go through from back to front and etc, its finally on and i think it looks PERFECT!!! The ground clearance is great and i even cut the tabs off.
