• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Help me please

Hey guys, my car has really been pissing me off lately. So what it's doing is I can step on the gas and I basically just won't accelerate. The car will sound kind of boggy and I can get to about 40 mph without really pushing it where the problem will probably get worse. When I turn the car off I can hear air being expelled from the air intake as if it can't escape through the exhaust.
The car also threw a po410 code- secondary air injection fault... Emissions or what? Either way, I'm leaning towards a plugged cat what do you think?

Very well could be a clogged cat, if so, you need to find out what caused the cat. to melt down (overheat). Or a replacemant will get damaged too.

I agree, sounds like a bad cat. If your car has over about a 120k it wouldn’t hurt to replace it, they don’t last forever. And definitely scan it afterward, to see if that was the cause of your problems. Or just the symptom. :th_winking:

So basically **** rusty bolts haha. Anyway my car has 71 k on it... But the only other thing I can think of would be the maf. Does anyone know how to tell if one of these is bad using a multimeter?

I’m not aware that you can with a multi-meter. Most people disconnect it, then see if the car runs better.
