so i have in the ballpark of 200-250 for a set of headers, i was wanting to see your guys opinions on should i go for the pem/plog set up or should i try out the cheapo knock off ebay headers, i know what everyone is thinking "why dont you save an extra 100 and get SSAC" well my wife wont let me me she set my limit to 250ish

I say you grow a pair, and tell her you'll buy whatever the F you want.

Then save and buy the better crap.
 
yeah that wouldnt work out so well.......i take it you must not be married lol, no i got a baby due in a couple months ans we are trying to save so i figure im lucky she is allowing this much

Get the Knock offs. It might be a pain in the @$$, but if you seal them up really well, you will appreciate them. I've heard a lot of good things about those OBX's when installed right. From what I hear, they aren't the best (MEANING): They actually flow really well, they also look gorgeous,but they are hard to install/seal up, but THERE ARE NO COMPLAINTS at 200 bucks. I don't know much about the zomk speed headers, but headers are just downright going to flow better than PEM's wich means LESS KR & MORE HORSES. They are both made with "impressively thick" high grade stainless, so they should last quite a while if you take the extra time to do a little fabricating where necessary. I'd say Go for the Knock offs. I have a buddy who's been running OBX's for say 3 years now. He's had one problem (within the first couple months) b/c of a leak at the crossover that he fixed. They've been treating him good ever since.
 


Honestly though, if you buy the OBX headers, wouldnt you spend about a $100.00 at the exhaust shop getting everything to seal? Might as well buy the SSAC?
 
i agree with just leavin the car alone.. unless you got money (which you stated you don't) to just piss into this car you'll be more irritated with crappy headers and exhaust leaks. don't even think to buy a plog.. might as well just set that cash on fire. only people that praise those are the people trying to sell theirs cuz they wasted the money initially.
 


I personally wouldn't put anything less than SSAC's on my car, But like I said, I have a friend with OBX's that have treated him well. Be careful what opinions you take into. Guys that have spent 700 plus dollars on headers absolutely HATE to hear talk about cheap headers that perform well. There could obviously be some bias. I wouldn't try to convince you to put some POS's on your car. for 200 bucks you can't expect a miracle, but you will get far more than you'd rightfully expect at that price. If I had the money to put ZZP's on My car, Believe me it would be done, but I don't so SSAC's it will be. If I couldn't get SSAC's I personally would do a DP Plog combo because although it's no headers, I know it would be reliable.
 
well i have a line of a set of pacesetters that are right on target with what i want to spend so thats better than nothing, i figure coat them to help them last longer and wrap them up and im good to go till i get back from iraq with the big bucks and she might let me buy a new part lol
 
also SSAC are kind out of my grasp right now since they coinsider hawaii international shipping so instead of 50 fr shipping it like 150
