Help! Lifters or worse?

Thanks for all the the help guys. I guess it's a good thing that I have a 1999 Grand Prix Gt with an electrical issue sitting in my backyard. Do you think I could do the motor swap myself? I heard there was a thread somewhere on here about it.

Yup, just found that, should have used my eyes before asking but that's for motor and trans. Are there steps that I can skip so I don't have to pull the trans?

clearly you didnt read that. (just saw the pics) the pics there are to show you that bracket, and the backwards bell housing bolt. its hard to show that stuff when in the car.

the link i posted is far less work. no need to pop the axles and such.

theres a engine and tranny out the bottom how to around here as well. truth is that way looks to be the easiest way to go if you need both out.

It's on the road, it tends to not want to start sometimes and will leave you stranded for random periods of time so I don't trust it or feel like trying to find a short in the harness so I don't drive it.

sounds like a crank sensor gone bad.

ok so your in the 2 belt club already.

find that used n/a slow engine. mod its lim, and do the lim gaskets if need be and your done.

Oh, and don't change the head gaskets on this one. They rarely if ever go on these cars. And if you do, get studs or new bolts as the old ones are not reuseable (TTY bolts).
