• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Help just plain help!

I have a 00 GTP with 3.4 and all the other goodies that come with a 3.4 done the right way, blah blah anyways! My tranny is starting to act up shudder when taking off and not shifting right...I was wondering what the best way to go is? Should I buy a bunch of hardened parts and rebuild mine or just buy one from someone that sells suped up ones? I saw a post somewhere where a guy is offering built trannys for $1250 for the rest of the year? Can someone help me or send me in the right direction? Please my car is sick and so am I :th_sick2:

We had a special at the end of last year offering our high performance street/strip 4T65E transmissions for $1250 but that offer ended Dec 31st 2007. The current pricing is $1450 plus core fee and shipping. Unless you plan to run high 12s or faster the stock hardparts will be fine. A hardened 4th clutch hub is standard in all of our 4T65E builds and if you are planning to build the trans yourself then this is a must replace part.

Ok thanks Trannyman95 I will be putting together some figures now and see what way will balance out better for me financially...

If you get another stock trans, you will probably run into the same **** you are running into now. Financially your best bet would be a used trans from a junkyard or from Ed Morad... but...

I had Dave (trannyman95) build my trans, and it was like an entirely different car when I got it back. AWESOME awesome work, and a great guy to deal with.
