First of all I live in ND. And its fifteen below right now. And I have almost no heat in my 00 gt, this sucks severely. Here is what is going on, I turn the fan to high and it blows a little air but not hot or a lot of flow. I turn it to cold and I get much more. I have replaced the Thermostat, (and bleed the system), blower motor, and the resistor pack. Whats left? Cause its getting real old having to where overalls on long trips. any help would be appreciated. btw I just got the car a month ago, so I don't know how long this has been going on.

I dont think that the heater core is plugged, because both pipes going into it are warm... where is that door and cabin air filter?

The heater core could be plugged up so that not much air is going through. This would also explain why you get more air blowing out when you turn it to cold.

So when u talk about the heater core being plugged are talking about the coolant part or the part that the air goes through?

where your heater hoses are going into firewall unhook both take a water hose and flush both ways also you will see if its plugged

first off is the heat hotter wen its on the lowest speed ? wen you turn the speed up all the way does the heat go from warm to cold??

I am not sure, all I know is that I am not getting enough heat, and I have pretty much left it on high. but tomorrow I will take the car for a spin and see what it does.

Alright I sat and fiddledicked with it today. And here is what I found: turning the fan speed up and down does not seem to have any effect on temperature, but turning the temp knob from hot to cold causes the amount of air coming out the vents to almost double in speed. So does this help anyone with ideas on whats wrong?

Alright.. my next important question. how do I get to the heater core?? and would i want to replace or just clean out?

flushin it will be easiest and there are to lines that go into the alternator bracket u pull them off and spray water threw each one unto it flow fast

I haven't flushed my heater core yet.... (its been warm out so I haven't needed the heater much) but i got another problem which i am not sure if its related or not. yesterday i went to the car wash and when the washer passed over the cowl I suddely had a river on my passenger side floor. Is this a related problem or something totally different?

ok, so the AIRFLOW is being blocked in his case because he mentioned that on cold it moves way more air, so flushing the inside of the core wont do anything for his issue, that would fix the issue of it not ever getting warm, more than likely there is crap on the fins of the core that need to be cleaned and the flow will return to normal.

ive been considering cleaning mine as well and what i was going to do is take the core out and inspect it and then pressure wash it
