i pulled my fuel rail off to put my motor mount on and the fuel injector in the back on the right lost its rubber band o ring and the pastic tip some where and im scared it fell inside the engine
 


hmm. are they sitting in the injector hole? you should be able to use a flashlight and look inside the hole.
 
ok heres the story...

woke up
go outside pop the hood
looking at front left motor mount thinking ill have to remove the fuel rail to re assemble because of that 1 bolt by the injector
remove fuel rail
put together the whole left motor mount..
put back on fuel rail
double check everythings ok
start car
rpms shoot to 2.5k then stall figured hmm air in fuel lines
flip key back an forth to build fuel pressure
start car.. idles horrible?
look at engine hear the vacuum leak an i thought it was the break booster hose that read L36 and then it clicked!
check fuel injectors.. pull the rail back off and its missing the whole! nipple..
dont see anything in he hole lol but i did find the o ring laying on the transmission.. but i do remember when i started the car i heard a clunk clunk clunk.. an asap shut the car off an checked oil..oils fine.. i dont know if the nipple is in the engine BUT i cant find it and i heard the clunk noise so makes me think it is.. so replace injector and just let car run?
 


When I pulled the injectors a couple of the nipples cracked and broke. The others were just as brittle. I found a service kit on eBay for $24.99 with free shipping that included parts to refurb all 6 injectors. It included 6 nipples, 12 o-rings and 6 filters and a tool to remove the old filters. I had it in about 3 days. It worked perfectly and was way cheaper than a new injector.

The nipples only hold the rings on the injectors as a nice to have. You don't need them as they provide no other functionality.
