Help! fuel pump?

Hey guys i need some help/advice. Saturday night my car just quit. it wont start. Pretty sure the fuel pump took a sh*t. When i turn the key on i no longer hear the wine of the fuel pump. Theres nothing else that seems wrong. Checked the fuelpump relay and fuse both were fine. Anything else i should check?

Not that I know of. I have a fuel pump write that i just finished. I'll post a link to it in a second. Oh and if you do need another pump...Get a racetronics. Way cheaper than an OEM and just as much as one from the parts store....Much better though.

Thanks for the tips guys. ill try the bypass an see if it works. TDC can you post a link for me of where i can get that pump in case the bypass doesnt work?

It could be the resistor. Do the bypass my bending pin 85 of the relay out of the way.

Doesent this also give the fuel pump more voltage? Or something like that...I think I herd something about it put's it in high speed mode? IDK

It gives the pump more voltage...at lower RPM's. The resistor is there to "ramp up" the fuel pump when needed, and more-so to keep it quieter at idle. You still get the same voltage at peak, you just get it across the board with the bypass.

Alright thanks. Now i have a question. I went to start it on sunday just to see and it started right up now? WTF? Should i still replace it anyway? I know it was the fuel pump but why would it not work then all the sudden work again after sitting for a week?

If you know it's the fuel pump then you should more than likley still replace it. Never know when it may go out. Highway? In traffic?

Thats what i was thinkin too. Im gonna order a racetronics today. If i need help in late april when i get a chance to install it ill be getting ahold of you on here TDC. Thanks for your help guys

TDC a walbro 255 is only 124 at intense would i be better off with that or does it flow too much and i would need bigger injectors to support it? If i would what size and when should one even consider injectors to begin with?

Or they have this setup that has venturi specific setup and the wiring harness aswell thats 10 dollars cheaper. im going to be buying the wiring harness aswell either way i go. which would you suggest? intense is close to home is why im looking there aswell. i could pick it up there if i wanted.
